Marcus played college basketball at UNLV before taking his talents overseas for professional basketball.

He played for several clubs, including Cosecha in Chaco, as well as Sportsmen Unidos and Ciclón in Rosario.

His skills on the court earned him respect in Argentina’s competitive basketball leagues.

Marcus’s experience as a professional athlete likely influenced Maximo’s passion for the sport, providing a firsthand example of what it takes to succeed in basketball.

Sadly, Marcus passed away in February 2024 at the age of 69, due to complications from a stroke.

Whereas his mother, Delfina Adams, hails from Rosario, Argentina. Besides this, not much is known about her.

Likewise, he opened up about the influence of his father’s demise on his decision to transfer from BYU to a school closer to home, as he wanted to support his mother and brother. He said:

Losing my father was really hard, and I wasn’t there when (the stroke) happened. I had to travel there at one in the morning and go to the hospital in his last moments.
I need to return back home to be closer to my family. I need to be closer to my mom and my little brother who is growing up without a father figure.
