On October 15, 2025, authorities in Jonesboro, Arkansas, arrested 42-year-old Blake Aaron Davis on charges of computer child pornography and parole violation.

This marks what some locals describe as his sixth time facing jail for similar offenses, sparking widespread anger in the community.

Davis, a former volleyball coach, science teacher, and youth pastor, has a troubling history that has left many questioning the justice system’s handling of his cases.

The latest arrest happened around 1:43 PM when the Jonesboro Police Department took Davis into custody.

Officers from the Internet Crimes Against Children Division and the Street Crimes Unit had executed a search warrant at his home in south Jonesboro.

Police claim they found evidence of at least a dozen images and video files that Davis allegedly uploaded and shared with others.

A judge set his temporary bond at $250,000, the same amount as in one of his previous cases.

Davis remains in custody at the Craighead County Detention Center as the investigation continues.

Davis’s past is marked by numerous red flags that suggest a pattern of concerning behavior.

He worked as a science teacher and volleyball coach at Douglas MacArthur Junior High School in the Jonesboro School District.

In January 2020, he resigned after school officials investigated reports that he had sent unprofessional photos to female students via Snapchat.

Although no charges resulted directly from that incident, it raised serious concerns about his interactions with young people.

Things escalated in July 2021 when Davis, then 38, was arrested on suspicion of possessing and distributing child pornography.

That case stemmed from the earlier Snapchat investigation, which uncovered more disturbing material.

He faced charges of distributing, possessing, or viewing matter depicting sexual conduct involving a child.

A district judge found probable cause, and his bond was set at $250,000.

By January 2022, Davis pleaded guilty in that child pornography case.

Circuit Judge Cindy Thyer sentenced him to five years of probation, crediting him for the time already served in jail. However, he didn’t stay out of trouble for long.

Later in 2022, he faced charges for violating his probation. This led to another stint in custody.

The violations continued. In June 2023, Davis was arrested again in Craighead County for a felony probation violation.

He was 39 at the time, and the charge highlighted his ongoing failure to comply with court orders.

Details on the specific breach aren’t publicly detailed, but it added to his growing record.

Beyond his roles in education, Davis also served as a youth pastor in West Memphis for a period.

This position put him in close contact with children and teens, which now raises even more concerns, given his arrest history.

Community members recall him as someone who held positions of trust, making his repeated offenses feel like a deep betrayal.

News of the October Arrest Spread Quickly on Social Media, where People Voiced their Frustration and Disgust

A Facebook user named ZK Parker shared a screenshot of Davis’s arrest record from the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office.

In her caption, she wrote,

“”Why they steady giving him a slap on the wrist send his ass to prison! I get sick everytime I see this man knowing he was a jr high teacher & volley ball coach when I was in school this like his 6th time in jail on this charge.”

Many people feel that the system has been too lenient, and her post reflects that feeling.

Another commenter, Sonia Hunter, echoed those feelings. She said,

“I guess they are going to keep letting him out until he ruins a lot of kids lives. The judges and law makers are the real sick ones because he’s getting out because they keep allowing it. So nasty and sad. That’s why as parents we have to listen to our babies. When they say a teacher is being too friendly or makes them uncomfortable believe them. This happens all too often and it continues for years and years and for generation after generation because no one speaks up.”

These reactions show how deeply this case has affected the Jonesboro area.

Parents, former students, and residents are calling for harsher penalties to protect children.

As Davis awaits his court date, the community watches closely, hoping this time the outcome will bring real accountability.

Authorities encourage anyone with information related to the case to contact the Jonesboro Police Department.
