While driving a UTV northbound on Hihimanu Street, he failed to stop at a posted sign and collided with another vehicle traveling eastbound on Kalaniana‘ole Highway.

The impact caused his UTV to overturn, ejecting him onto the roadway.

The elderly driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized in serious condition.

Authorities continue to investigate the crash, which has shaken the Windward O‘ahu community.
