Randall Ewing, an athlete at Special Olympics, passed away at the age of 60 on January 12, 2026.

He was a devoted member of the St. Paul Reformed Church and loved spending time with his church family.

Randall Ewing’s enthusiastic participation in the Special Olympics proved his passion for sports and community involvement.

He was a dedicated athlete who embraced the joy of competition across a wide range of sports. His athletic journey included tournaments in Bocce, Bowling, Golf, Basketball, and even Equestrian events.

He excelled with determination and a positive attitude, earning many medals for his achievements.

Randall Ewing’s Family Mourns the Tragic Loss

Randall Lee Ewing of Lexington, North Carolina, passed away at the age of 60 on June 20, 1965.

He carried a joyful and determined spirit throughout his life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire Rowan County community.

Randall Lee Ewing, the son of James and Linda Ewing, was born on June 20, 1965, in Lexington, North Carolina.

He will be remembered most for his strength of character and his celebrated career as a beloved athlete with the Rowan County Special Olympics.

His dedication and sportsmanship inspired all who knew him.

Randall’s legacy of love and resilience lives on through his devoted mother, Linda Bush Ewing; loving sister, Angie Brim, and her husband Daniel; cherished niece, Christy Forrest and her husband Lee; adored great-nephew, Jayden Forrest and his wife Madie; and his beloved great-niece, Makenzie Forrest.

Similarly, he is survived by his aunts, Sondra Cooper and Faith Pope, and her husband, Danny; and cousins, Lisa Humphrey, Daniel Pope and his wife Lori, and Joy Putnam and her husband Joey, along with many other extended family members and friends.

On the other hand, he was preceded in death by his father, James Ewing; grandparents, Dewey and Stephanie Bush; aunt, Carrie Bush Davis; and cousin, Dewey Davis.

The Ewing family will hold a memorial service to honor Randall’s life at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 811 North Enochville Ave, China Grove, NC.

They warmly welcomed everyone who knew Randall to attend and share in remembrance.

Instead of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial donations be made in Randall’s name to the Rowan County Special Olympics.

His courageous spirit, bright smile, and unwavering heart will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
