President of the Premier Lacrosse League, Paul Rabil, acknowledges the sacrifices his parents, Allan and Jean Rabil, made to help him achieve everything he has today and all that he strives for in the future.

Together, Allan and Jean Anne created a supportive environment in their Gaithersburg, Maryland home, where Paul grew up with his older brother, Mike, and sister, Rebecca.

In fact, they played a significant role in Paul’s lacrosse journey, starting when he was just 12 years old.

Father Allan encouraged Paul to try multiple sports, including basketball, soccer, and swimming. He even tried music, let alone sports.

However, it was his mother, Jean Anne, who insisted Paul stick with lacrosse, and eventually he fell in love with the sport.

She recognized his potential in the sport and encouraged him to keep playing, even when he faced early struggles on the field due to his learning challenges.

When Paul was diagnosed with Auditory Processing Disorder and ADHD in sixth grade, his parents didn’t let these challenges define him. Allan and Jean supported him through thick and thin.

Paul didn’t prove them wrong as their encouragement led Paul to excel at DeMatha Catholic High School, where he led his team to three Washington Catholic Athletic Conference championships.

Later at Johns Hopkins University, he won two NCAA championships (2005 and 2007) and earned All-American honors four times.

Allan and Jean Anne also supported Paul’s decision to pursue lacrosse professionally.

Their belief in his vision allowed Paul to focus on his game, leading to a record-breaking career with 657 points in professional lacrosse, two Major League Lacrosse (MLL) championships (2011 and 2015), and multiple MVP awards.

Allan Rabil, Paul Rabil’s father, had a long and dynamic career in sales and marketing.

He had a lengthy career spanning almost 35 years as a Senior Account Executive at Automated Graphic Systems (AGS), an RR Donnelley Company, from February 1983 to October 2017.

Allan worked in an industry that evolved dramatically during his tenure, moving from traditional printing methods like hot type and cold type to modern technologies such as desktop publishing, print-on-demand, and online data analysis.

His role involved helping companies create successful marketing strategies by combining print and digital communications.

Allan’s work was never dull, as he adapted to new technologies while serving some of the best cross-channel marketers, ensuring their brands and marketing plans remained effective.

Later, Allan started working as a director of events at Rabil Companies, which is a lacrosse platform that powers Rabil Live, Rabil Overnight, Goalie Academy, Defensive Academy, and several other specific lacrosse clinics, camps, and tournaments.
