Talor Battle shares a close bond with his two half-brothers, Taran and Boo Buie, from his mother’s side.

Despite not being biological siblings, Taran and Boo have been influenced by Talor’s passion for basketball.

They grew up watching their older brother excel in the sport, which inspired them to pursue basketball themselves.

Following in Talor’s footsteps, Taran and Boo have made significant strides in basketball, making their own mark in the sport.

Talor Battle is an American retired professional basketball player who currently serves as an assistant coach for Northwestern University.

Originally from Albany, New York, Battle attended Bishop Maginn High School where he was rated a top 100 recruit in the ESPN 150, the No. 131 recruit in the nation by Rivals.com and No. 21 among point-guards by Scout.com. B

During his college years, Battle was a standout player for the Penn State Nittany Lions men’s basketball team.

After his playing career, he returned to the Nittany Lions program as an assistant coach in the 2020–2021 season.

These days he works as a assistant basketball coach for the Northwestern University.

Talor Battle’s brother Taran and Boo Buie grew up besides Talor. Even though they weren’t part of Talor’s childhood Talor almost raised them like their father when they were child.

His influence got both of the brother to join basketball and play as a professional basketball player.

Talor was born in 1988 while brother Taran was born on September 28, 1991 making three years age gap between them. Similarly brother boo was born in 1999 making eleven years age gap between Talor.

Taran Buie, shares a close bond with his sibling. During the early days he showed a promising carrer as a basketball player in the State College Little Lions. Moreover he was also recoginzed as the top 100 national swing guards.

After high school he committed to attending Penn State pursuing his passion.

However, Taran eventually transitioned away from basketball and pursued a career in entrepreneurship.

He is the owner of Be Humbled LLC, a company that produces merchandise, showcasing his creativity and business acumen beyond the realm of sports.

Brother Boo Is A Guard At Northwestern University

Boo Buie, developed a passion for basketball at a young age, inspired by his older brother Talor Battle’s success in the Big Ten Conference.

Despite being eleven years younger than Talor, Boo’s journey in the sport has begun to flourish.

Boo attended Troy High School initially before transferring to Gould Academy in Bethel, Maine, during his sophomore year.

When it came time to choose a college, Boo opted to play basketball for Northwestern University, turning down offers from other schools like St. Bonaventure, UMass, Boston University, and Siena.

Since joining Northwestern in 2019, Boo has made significant contributions to the team’s success, earning accolades such as the First-team All-Big Ten title in 2023. 

Talor Battle Family Tree

Talor Battle comes from a large and close family. He was born to his parents, Denise and his father, and has two siblings.

Later on, his mother, Denise, married Dan Buie, and they had two more sons, Taran and Boo Buie. Together with their parents and eight siblings, the family comprises 11 members in total.

After their marriage, Denise and Dan raised the Battle-Buie children together.
