San Diego Wave Trades Her To Racing Louisville FC
After a two-season career with the San Diego Wave, Taylor Kornieck has joined the NWSL club, Racing Louisville FC.
On January 22, 2024, the Wave announced that the club acquired $150,000 in allocation money in exchange for the midfielder.
During her tenure with the Wave, the athlete played 36 regular-season matches, scoring six goals and notching four assists.
However, Wave General Manager Molly Downtain mentioned that the -year-old athlete formally requested a trade.
The general manager announced Taylor’s departure and expressed gratitude for her time with the club.
“We want to thank Taylor for her time with the club and wanted to respect her request to pursue a new opportunity within the league,” Downtain stated in a news release.
Likewise, Taylor took over Instagram to thank the Wave fans, her teammates, and San Diego’s staff.
“San Diego, you welcome me with open arms, and I loved every second of playing for this city. To my teammates and staff, thank you for always pushing me to achieve better every day.”
