Tennis star Jessica Pegula has been married to Taylor Gahagen since 2021.

Despite being one of the top female tennis players in the U.S., Jessica Pegula keeps her private life largely under wraps.

As she has climbed the WTA rankings, her husband, Taylor Gahagen, has been a constant source of support.

Meanwhile, details about the early stages of their relationship remain unknown. However, Taylor spent nearly ten years working at Pegula’s family-owned sports and entertainment company.

By early 2019, Jessica Pegula and Taylor Gahagen were engaged to each other.

Although they initially planned to marry in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic forced them to postpone their plans. Pegula revealed their proposed plans on the Tennis.com Podcast in 2021.

“We were supposed to get married in October last year, We postponed it a year … It’s fine, it worked out!

In 2013, Taylor joined Pegula Sports and Entertainment, the management company owned by Pegula’s parents.

The organization oversees multiple sports teams, including the NFL’s Buffalo Bills and NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, and owns Black River Entertainment, a record label representing artists like Kelsea Ballerini.

Taylor held several roles during his tenure, from marketing manager to director of corporate development. Ultimately, he rose to an executive position.

Moreover, he played a key role in launching and branding Buffalo’s LECOM Harborcenter, a retail and entertainment venue that opened in 2014 and serves as the Buffalo Sabres’ practice facility.

Jessica Pegula and Taylor Gahagen Had Initially Planned to Marry in 2020!

The couple became publicly linked in 2015 when Pegula shared a now-deleted Instagram photo of them at a costume party.

Their earliest remaining photo dates back to a September 2016 outing in New York City. Nevertheless, by 2019, Pegula was seen wearing an engagement ring.

Furthermore, in May that year, she shared a photo from Prague, where the ring was visible.

Initially set to marry in October 2020, the couple delayed their wedding due to the pandemic.

Ultimately, they tied the knot in October 2021 at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina.

The ceremony was intimate and attended by family, close friends, and fellow tennis players such as Jennifer Brady, Asia Muhammad, Taylor Townsend, and Samantha Crawford.

After the wedding, the couple postponed their honeymoon due to Pegula’s demanding tennis schedule. Eventually, they finally traveled to Costa Rica in July 2022, though their travel styles differed.

Pegula enjoyed adventurous activities like ziplining and waterfall rappelling, while Taylor preferred to relax and watch from the sidelines.

Despite this, Pegula described the trip as unforgettable. She told WTA that she wanted to go back and it was “just the best experience”.

“It was amazing, it was so much fun. We want to go back so bad. It was just the best experience. The people, the food, the lifestyle was so much fun,” .
