Texas Tech Softball player Hailey Toney’s father, Wesley Toney, graduated from Magnolia High School.
Hailey Toney and her team, the Texas Tech Red Raiders, made history in their WCWS debut, beating Oklahoma 3-2.
They are now heading to the Women’s College World Series Championship Series finale.
Toney, a freshman infielder from Magnolia, Texas, United States, joined the Texas Tech Red Raiders softball team in the fall of 2024 as part of the 2024 recruiting class.
Ranked as the 10th best infielder nationally by Extra Inning Softball, she brought an impressive high school record, including a .602 batting average, 223 hits, and 131 stolen bases.
In her debut season, Toney quickly became a key contributor, starting every game and earning Big 12 All-Freshman honors.
She was named to the Big 12 All-Tournament Team and delivered crucial hits during Texas Tech’s historic run to their first women’s College World Series final appearance.
Hailey Toney’s Parents Have Been Married For Over 22 Years
A highly-touted shortstop, Hailey Toney, was raised by her father, Wesley Toney, and her mother, Amanda Simmons.
Her parents got married on July 13, 2002, and have been married for over 22 years.
According to Wes’s Facebook profile, he resides in Magnolia, Texas, and attended Magnolia High School.
On the other hand, Amanda is originally from Conroe and lives in Magnolia.
Hailey’s parents inspired and supported her to play softball from a young age.
Earlier, on July 9, 2019, Amanda took to her official Facebook handle and organized a fundraiser to raise money for Hailey to attend the Kansas City event and the PGF event in California. She wrote,
Raising money for Hailey to go to Kansas City and PGF in California. Hailey is just a small part of this great team. Hailey works hard everyday and tries her hardest to succeed on the field. Hailey Toney Grew Up With Her Older Sister Paige Toney
Hailey grew up playing softball with her older sister, Paige Toney.
According to reports, Paige is a former softball player from Magnolia West High School in Magnolia, Texas, who graduated in the Class of 2019.
Standing at 5 feet 3 and weighing 135 lbs, she played as an infielder and right-handed pitcher, batting and throwing right-handed.
She was also a part of the junior varsity team, where she pitched a commendable game, recording one strikeout and allowing only five hits in a close 6-4 game against Willis.
Paige has made her social media handles private, so little information about her personal life is known.
