In Fort Worth, Texas, where Friday night football games light up the community and family ties run deep, a father’s emotional Facebook post has captured hearts.
Ulysses Garcia, a single dad raising four kids, shared his feelings after his estranged wife, Alejandra Imelda Lopez, landed in jail again for burglary of a habitation.
At 29, Lopez has a long history of legal troubles, but this arrest meant Ulysses finally gained full custody of their children.
Now, as the Fort Worth dad football season begins, he’s the one cheering for his sons’ first games, celebrating moments their mom will miss.
“Thank you for handing over my kids to me!! Now you have all the time in the world to realize what you’ve missed and what you’re going to miss!!”

Ulysses’ post, paired with Lopez’s latest mugshot, was a gut-wrenching mix of relief and anger. He thanked her sarcastically for “handing over” their kids, Isaac, Melany, Matthew, and Junior, before unloading his pain.
He listed the milestones she’s missing: Isaac’s first day of middle school, Melany’s first day of school, Matthew’s first football game under the Fort Worth lights, and Junior’s first soccer match.
He wrote, his words heavy with hurt. -:
“I wonder if she even kissed them goodbye, No I don’t—I just fucking wish she would die.”

It’s the anger of a dad who feels betrayed after years of raising their kids alone.
He spoke of Melany, saying he could never imagine leaving her side, and called Lopez “phony,” vowing she’ll never see their daughter’s beauty again, not even at her own funeral.
He ended with a stinging line: “But how dare you try to take what didn’t help me to get!!!”
For Ulysses, who carried the parenting load solo, it was a cry of triumph through the pain.

Lopez’s Latest Arrest is Part of a Long Pattern, According to Texas Arrest Records
In 2019, Arlington PD charged her with burglary of a habitation. In 2020, Fort Worth PD arrested her for robbery.
By June 2021, at age 25, she faced charges from Arlington PD for burglary of a vehicle with a $1,500 bond and robbery with a $4,000 bond.
The cycle continued in January 2022 with another robbery charge, followed by a May arrest from Forest Hill PD in Fort Worth for criminal trespassing.
In August 2022, Arlington PD booked her again for burglary of a habitation.
Parole violations followed in September 2023 by the Department of Criminal Justice in Huntsville and in 2024 by the Pardon and Parole Board in Austin.
On September 23, 2025, at the age of 29, she was arrested yet again for burglary of a habitation.
Each arrest pulled her further from her family, leaving Ulysses to step up alone.
Before Lopez’s mugshot went viral, Ulysses posted again, setting the record straight.
He wrote-:
“Man before my bms mug shot gets posted and before everyone starts hitting my line ima just let it be known I have full custody of my kids!!”

He explained why Melany is so special to him:
“Everyone always says Melany’s my favorite they just don’t know what we went through and no I don’t want no sympathy or feeling bad for me or my kids she walked out when melany was a baby so why I love Melany a little more? Cuz that’s my baby girl and i raised her on my own!! (With my mommas and sisters help) I’m all she knows as a parent!! That’s why our dad and daughter relationship is so strong!!”
With his mom and sisters by his side, Ulysses has built a tight bond with his kids, especially Melany, who only knows him as her rock.
Now, as Fort Worth dad football season heats up, Ulysses is focused on the future.
He’s raising Isaac, Melany, Matthew, and Junior with love, cheering at Matthew’s football games and Junior’s soccer matches.
He’s there for school drop-offs, homework, and those big moments under the stadium lights.
While Lopez sits in jail, missing out on her kids’ lives, Ulysses is proving that love and grit can hold a family together.
In Fort Worth, where football is king, Ulysses Garcia is the real MVP, showing up for his kids and turning pain into pride, one game at a time.
