Daddy Dave, a streetcar racer, has faced multiple crashes in his racing career, which have left him with numerous concussions and bruises.

He was the reigning “King of the Streets” and smoked everyone in a 1996 GMC Sonoma S10 pickup.

David “Dave” Comstock is a true original from the 405, featured in the hit TV show Street Outlaws. His friend, Big Chief, introduced him to the show, and he quickly made a name for himself.

He was renowned for his skill behind the wheel and his exceptional mechanical expertise. He raced his way to the top of the Oklahoma list and earned the title King of the Streets.

He is a master of illegal street racing and remains a significant force in racing today. He even expressed interest in a substantial return to his roots on the street in 2025.

Dave embodies the gritty, high-stakes world of street racing, blending technical prowess with raw adrenaline. Moreover, his YouTube channel, Daddy Dave Racing, provides race footage and builds.

Daddy Dave’s Multiple Scariest Crashes in Racing Career

Daddy Dave is a legendary racer on Discovery’s Street Outlaws and No Prep Kings, renowned for his speed and remarkable ability to walk away from devastating crashes.

His accidents highlight the extreme dangers of no-prep drag racing.

One of the most terrifying moments in Street Outlaws history happened in Amarillo, Texas, in 2017.

Shortly after launching, Dave’s car veered out of control and slammed into a concrete barricade. The vehicle flipped and rolled violently before coming to a stop.

He suffered a concussion, a bruised lung, and short-term amnesia. His wife, Cassie, posted on Facebook that he was in significant pain and disoriented but recovering in his own hospital room.

It stands out as one of the scariest crashes in Street Outlaws history due to the intensity of the flip. Despite the horrific crash, he made a full recovery and returned to racing.

Similarly, Dave had another close call during a No Prep Kings race against Bobby Ducote in 2021. After finishing the race, his car fishtailed when he deployed the parachute, which caused him to crash into the wall.

Although the impact was severe, he climbed out, gave a thumbs-up, and walked away unaided. He has repeatedly credited his survival to his team’s dedication to safety, especially his car’s strong roll cage.

Fans are glad to see him racing strongly, which shows his toughness and the importance of safety gear. As of 2026, no severe accidents have been reported involving him.
