Torrey Craig: Family

Johnny Craig and Teresa Mays are Craig’s parents. In addition, he also has a brother and a sister.

Torrey Craig was unable to attend basketball camps as a child growing up in rural South Carolina.

So he was pleased to see his son Braylon competing against much older students at Spartanburg Christian Academy.

Braylon, his son, was born on June 4, 2014. Braylon is tall for his age, but he is small, possibly the smallest at the camp. And yet, there he was, attempting to stop a big kid on a fish and shark fast-break drill.

Braylon, to be honest, is unconcerned about the experience. He’s been all over the world. He’s already seen more of the planet than most of us will. To him, the world is a blue-and-brown basketball.

Former Marquette star Dwyane Wade is his favorite player. With the Bucks, he wore No. 3, which was Wade’s number with Marquette, the Miami Heat, and the Chicago Bulls.

Who is the Mother of Torrey Craig’s Son?

Craig’s greatest source of pride is not any of these things but rather his son.

Craig’s girlfriend, Jakira, became pregnant during his senior year at USC Upstate when he was named Atlantic Sun Conference player of the year.

They never married but remained “best of friends,” as he put it. Torrey received an offer to play professionally in Australia when Braylon was three months old.

He and Braylon’s mother managed to make it work. “How could we not?” says Craig.

Craig explained. “It’s simple when you have a child as we do.”

Braylon has a huge personality. He’s a really cool kid, and he’s funny. It’s simple because his mother deserves the majority of the credit.

After seeing Winter’s post, Nicole immediately took to Twitter to express her “embarrassment.”

He signed a two-year, $10 million contract with the Pacers this offseason, but the Pacers fell down the standings and decided to reload at the trade deadline.
