Wade was born on Jan 17, 1982, to JoLinda Wade and Dwyane Wade Sr. in Chicago, USA.

Dwyane has 2 stepsiblings and one older sibling, Tragil Wade, to who he gives credits for pointing him in the right direction.

College Career

Dwyane Wade started his college at Marquette University to train under coach Tom Crean.

He could not play in his freshman year due to low grades, but he could get back the grades to play in his college’s sophomore year after constant studying and tutoring.

With Wade on the team scoring phenomenally, the Marquette University team played better than they had since the 1993-94 season.

His performance in the Midwest Regional final drew the attention of the entire country. Wade was named the MVP of the Midwest Regional.
