American football wide receiver Treylon Burks has made his parents proud with his amazing professional achievements. Burks grew up in Arkansas with his mother Sha’Freda Strickland, and late grandfather Joe Burks.
However, none of the social media platforms identify his father by name. Joe, too, has not mentioned anything about his father. Moreover, he grew up in his hometown with a younger sibling.
Treylon has nothing but praise for his late grandfather, with whom he had a special relationship. Burks aspires to uphold his grandpa’s name by performing kind acts.
Treylon Burks is an American football wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans of the NFL. He played college football at Arkansas before being drafted by the Titans in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
The football player started his collegiate career in 2019, where he received 2nd Team All-SEC two consecutive times and made it into the First Team in 2021.
There, Burks was also placed on the SEC All-Freshman team.
Before that, Treylon also played basketball and baseball during school days. However, he gained most of the recognition as a wide receiver in the Warren High School.

Treylon Burks was born in Flint, Michigan, and grew up with his parents: mother Sha’Freda Strickland, grandfather Joe Burks and his grandmother.
Sha’Freda Strickland, his mother, is very active on Facebook, where she posts about her friends, families, and Burk’s achievements.
However, Strickland has never posted about her husband, nor has she mentioned anything about him. As such, there is no information regarding Treylon’s father.
Burk’s mother is also on Linkedin, however, she has not shared any recent activities. However, her Twitter handle is filled with reposts appreciating her son’s prospects.
Sha’s Facebook info shows that she graduated from Warren High School in 2004.
Moreover, Shafreda has a daughter, Burks’ younger sister, Jade Watson, who recently turned 21 in July. Jade played basketball at Warren and is very close to her brother Treylon.
Among her two sisters and a brother, Strickland is very close to her sister Tyesha who studied nursing at Arkansas Tech University.

The NFL star also shared a tight bond with his grandfather Joe Burks. Joe was a custodian and bus driver in the school district, and he passed away eight years ago.
During his freshman year, in an interview, Burks said his mission is to carry on his grandfather’s legacy.
“My family always pushed me, and my grandpa kept telling me when I was younger that I was going to be something in life,” Burks said in the interview. “He was really just a well-known man up in Warren, helping people and just being a great man.” He added.
“My grandma took that role once my grandpa died and was always pushing me to be better. For me to have the name ‘Burks’ on my back is really an honor. I want to rep my grandpa’s name.” The NFL star got emotional remembering his late grandfather.
Joe Burks expected his grandchildren to uphold the same high standards of responsibility. He taught his grandchildren to be very obedient and humble.
