He began his football pursuits at Timber Lake High School, where he played as a running back, middle linebacker, and punter for the team.

Doug Kraft, born on February 28, 1974, was a standout athlete at Timber Lake, excelling in three sports.
He continued his athletic journey by playing college football at Huron University, where he achieved All-American status as a wide receiver and set numerous receiving records for the program.
Following his graduation in 1997 with a degree in criminal justice, Doug received a tryout with the Miami Dolphins.
Doug moved back to Timber Lake a year later and took over his dad’s cattle and land operation.
Tragically, on June 6, 2013, Doug Kraft passed away while flying a Weatherly 620B airplane, spraying pesticide over a wheatfield outside of Ludlow.
The plane lost control, crashed, and Doug died of blunt trauma injuries suffered on impact, leaving behind a grieving family. At the time of his death, Tucker was just 12 years old.
Tausha, who then worked as a nurse in nearby Eagle Butte, struggled to overcome the loss of her husband but found strength in her sons.
The family faced additional challenges when Tausha was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease in 2014, making breathing difficult and leading to multiple emergency room visits.
She remarried Guthrie Ducheneaux in 2018. Moreover, Guthrie quickly formed a close bond with the Kraft boys.
Presently, Tausha is the company owner of Kraft RN Contracting LLC.
