Tracie Wilkes Baines, age 41, of Greeneville, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, December 1, 2025.

A beloved daughter, wife, mother, and friend, she leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that touched everyone around her.

While the cause of her demise is under wraps, her friend describes it as unexpected and sudden.

Tracie Wilkes Baines Loved Playing Softball!

Tracie was a vibrant woman who lived life with passion and joy. She worked at Health Express Urgent Care in Greeneville and was known for her dedication and kindness.

Beyond her career, she was an athlete who enjoyed playing softball and loved UT football. Moreover, she was an avid Tennessee Volunteers fan.

She enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Family was the center of her world; she loved spending time with her husband, Matt, her children, Peyton and Paisley, and her father, Andy.

On the other hand, her dog Lily was also her constant companion.

Tracie’s passing has left her family and community in deep sorrow, as they gather to honor her memory and celebrate her life.

Her children, husband, and father, along with many relatives and friends, are asking for prayers for strength as they mourn her loss.

Her friends and well‑wishers have taken to social media to express their heartfelt condolences and share memories of Tracie Baines.

One friend recalled:

So sorry, Mandy, I remember her when she was younger. My son went all the way through school with her.

One friend wrote,

This breaks my heart for you and her family. I know how much she meant to you. I’m keeping you all in my prayers.

Tracie was preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Ricker Wilkes, in 2017, and her grandparents, Linford and Shirley Wilkes.

She is survived by her husband Matthew, her children Peyton and Paisley, her father Andy and his fiancée Brenda Laney, and extended family members.

Regarding the celebration of life, Funeral arrangements will be held this coming Saturday at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home, with visitation from 1 to 3 p.m.

Likewise, Burial will take place at River Hill Cemetery, with pallbearers including her husband, Matthew Baines; son, Peyton Lawing; Eli Lynn; T.J. Burkey; and Justin Ricker.
