Born in Des Moines, Iowa, on January 31, 2006, Diego was a lifelong resident of Waukee, where he was raised along with several siblings.

Diego passed away on December 10, 2025. Before his passing, he was in the NICU for over 30 days and was later sent home.

He was the loving son of his mother, Shelly Tichy, and his father, Oscar Posadas.

Diego is also survived by his siblings: Ariana Posadas, Ian Deuanephenh, Evan Posadas, Launna Posadas, and Oscar Posadas Jr.

While his death has indeed brought grief to his family members, the community also seems to be mourning.

Following his passing, one of his neighbors, Morgan Brown, recently organized a GoFundMe campaign to help the family lay Diego to rest.

Following that, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 1200 S. Warrior Lane, Waukee.

We express our heartfelt condolences to Diego’s family, friends, and everyone who knew him.

Rest in Peace, Young Soul!
