West Borm’s outstanding performance to defeat Chelsea 5-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Lazy Chelsea pays the price: Was this the first wrong judgment of Thomas Tuchel? The attack on West Brom is glorious at Stamford Bridge.

Matthew Pereira and Callum Robinson scored two goals as West Brom struggled to beat Chelsea’s ten men and finished by emphasizing the start of 14 unbeaten games during Thomas Tuchel’s time at Stamford Bridge.

The Baggies were as brilliant as the Blues, whose Thiago Silva got sent off in the 29th minute.

The result moves the side ranked 19th to between Newcastle’s seven points ranked 17th. And even if they don’t handle what’s not happening and run away from relegation. They will look back on this day later with great pride.

Sam Allardyce‘s men were prominent in the opposition, and their intentions were at an all-time high.

Chelsea took the lead in the 27th minute of the game when Christian Pulisic followed after Marcos Alonso’s free-kick.

However, two minutes later, their day started to worsen. When Thiago got a second yellow color card for the challenge of a breakout in Okay Yokuslu.

That was followed by a shocking show during the first-round suspension when Pereira stepped into the middle.

Brazil’s first attempt was a good ending for Edouard Mendy before ending a good action with a low strike between the three defenders.

Among those goals, Matt Phillips produced a strike that came out of wood.

West Brom then looked for their own after the break as substitute Robinson made it 3-1 with a volley on his feet before Mbaye Diagne finished the game off with an excellent strike.

England midfielder Mason Mount, who got brought in at half-time, came in to reduce the deficit.

But the Baggies resisted other Chelsea threats before Robinson ended an exemplary visitors day in the end.

Lazy Chelsea pays the price: Was this the first wrong judgment of Thomas Tuchel?

His reasons for leaving the first regular team from the first XI, including Mount and Kai Havertz, were because he wanted new legs on the field. Due to his players’ extra effort on the bench during the international break.

The beginners may have been physically sharp. But they were mentally lazy when Thiago paid a very high price.

It was dangerous to start for the 36-year-old Brazilian, who had just returned two months from injury.

He took ‘one of the team’ when he brought Pereira back to the edge of the field.

However, his second booking would have been no excuse for a player of his size.

Dane Andreas Christensen, who had been working on Thiago’s position, stepped in when midfielder Hakim Ziyech replaced him.

Striker Timo Werner entered the match unscathed and missed the ‘settlement’ of Germany against North Macedonia.

He probably wished he had reacted as quickly as Pulisic did for the Blues goal, even though he set up Mount goal.

At that point, both he and his teammates may have wished they had continued their international careers.

The team that has conceded just two goals in Tuchel’s last 14 games has been sacked and embarrassed by this season’s goalscorer.

Chelsea has four days to recover before facing Porto in the quarter-finals of the Champions League.

The attack on West Brom is glorious at Stamford Bridge.

West Borm’s victory over Chelsea was a perfect storm for West Brom. Also, a day when their players sang differently from their counterparts.

Pereira has been one of the brightest lights for the Baggies during this challenging time.

Moreover, even though he signed a permanent deal last summer. It could be challenging to stick with him when they go down.

His run for the first goal in goalkeeper Sam Johnstone was perfect, just as he finished with the clinic in the second.

Robinson, who came in just in the 37th minute for injured Branislav Ivanovic, quickly agreed with his team’s pressure. His third finish at West Brom was a crowd choice.

Allardyce has never felt relegated to the Premier League during his long career. If he keeps that record this season. It will be his most significant act.

Looking back to some statistics

Chelsea has conceded eight goals in their two games against West Brom in the Premier League this season. Most of which they have sent to one side in a single campaign.

Chelsea has conceded five goals and a Premier League home game for the second time. However, last doing so against Arsenal in October 2011 (3-5).

Moreover, Allardyce is the first manager to win a trip to Stamford Bridge in the Premier League with three different teams (Bolton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, West Brom).

On the other hand, Chelsea lost at home under Tuchel for the first time in all competitions. In the eighth Blues game at Stamford Bridge with the German coach in charge.

Pulisic’s opening in Chelsea for the first time for the Blues in his last 21 games in all competitions. Since defeating Leeds in December in the Premier League.

Thiago’s red card in 29 minutes was Chelsea’s first in the Premier League since August 2017 when Gary Cahill was sacked by Burnley just 14 minutes later.

Johnstone is the first goalkeeper to provide Premier League support to West Brom and is the second to do so this season, after Ederson of Manchester City vs. Tottenham in February.

Pereira’s two goals for West Brom came in just two minutes and 46 seconds. The first of Brazil’s nine goals in nine league games.

Robinson is the first player in Premier League history to hit at least twice at home. And away against Chelsea in less than one season.
