The New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania, community is grieving the loss of beloved native and standout athlete, Sebastian Long.

Sebastian Long took his own life on December 2, 2025, at an untimely age of 13 after being a victim of bullying at school, according to loved ones.

One wrote:

“Being bullied at West Perry school and nothing will be done to the bully. so sad.”

Another added:

“That kid who bullied him should be arrested. So sad 😢 the School is doing nothing 😞”

The details surrounding his untimely death have not yet been disclosed by the family as they prefer to maintain privacy as they navigate the loss of their beloved member.

Sebastian Long was a cherished member of the New Bloomfield sports community who touched the lives of many with his amazing athletic skills and his cheerful nature.

He was an 8th grader at West Perry Middle School and spent the past seven years as part of the West Perry Midget Football team, leading his team in several victories and winning the hearts of many with his remarkable performances.

Furthermore, the untimely death of Sebastian Long has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Social Media is Filled With Heartfelt Tributes to Late Sebastian Long

Many of Sebastian’s loved ones are sharing his memories on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Susquenita Midget Football Association wrote:

“Our hearts are with the West Perry Football family as they face an unimaginable loss. Sebastian Long, an 8th-grade student and member of their community, passed away suddenly earlier this week. No family should ever have to endure this kind of pain, and we want the Jamison family to know that the entire Susquenita football community is holding them close in our thoughts.In times like this, football isn’t about rivalries — it’s about family. And today, we stand together as one.”

Another added:

“Talk to your kids! Listen to them, you’d be surprised at all that they will share with you IF you listen. They hear, see and know more than we realize!
Say his name! Speak of him daily. Talk to your kids, even the hard topics. Sebastian Long’s life was valued. It mattered. HE mattered!! He was loved!”

The Bloomfield, PA community has also created a GoFundMe to support Sebastian’s family and ease their financial burden, covering the funeral and memorial service to honor the late Sebastian Long.

The fundraiser aims to collect $12k, and to date, around $7,587 has been raised. The community has requested to donate any amount, big or small, to support his family during this heartbreaking moment.

Sebastian Long is survived by his parents, Bob and Melanie Jamison, his siblings, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and the entire family.

While Bob and Mel haven’t released any statement regarding the untimely passing of their beloved son, as they are grieving the loss, they often share his pictures on social media, expressing their love and pride.

Sebastian Long’s contribution to the community as an exceptional athlete and his cheerful and kind nature will always remain in the hearts of his loved ones.

His family will soon provide details about his funeral and memorial services.
