A deadly crash involving two pickup trucks happened early Saturday morning, June 21, 2025, around 6:55 a.m. on State Route 753 in Union Township, between U.S. Route 35 and Robinson Road.
According to early reports, 32-year-old Daniel Hunt from Springboro was driving a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado heading northeast when he crossed over the center line and hit a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado coming from the other direction.
17-year-old Marcus Bentley from Washington Court House was driving the Silverado.
Sadly, Bentley was thrown from his truck and died at the scene.
Marcus Bentley was a dedicated student-athlete at Westfall High School in Williamsport, Ohio, where he played for the Boys Varsity Football team during the 2024–2025 season.

He is survived by his loving parents, Misty and Nathan, his cherished grandmother Beth, and his devoted brother Kevin.
His mother, Misty Dawn Rapp, shared a heartfelt message, expressing deep gratitude to everyone who has reached out to her during this incredibly difficult time.
She said she’s heartbroken and has been struggling to find the right words, but wants everyone to know how truly grateful she is.
While she hasn’t made any final decisions yet, she emphasized that her baby is worth her every thought.
Further, Carl Reinscheld shared an emotional tribute to Marcus Bentley, expressing his heartbreak over the sudden loss.
He said that even though he’s struggling to process the news, he wants Marcus to know how deeply he’ll be missed and loved every day.
At just 17 years old, Marcus was taken far too soon, and Carl, who lovingly referred to himself as Uncle Carl.
He asked Marcus to watch over everyone from above, saying they could all use his fun, spirited presence now more than ever. Carl ended his message by telling Marcus to fly high.

Coach Williamson described Marcus as a remarkable young man, both as an athlete and as a person, and said he will be deeply missed.
