The former NFL safety Earl Thomas, whose career ended abruptly in August 2020 when the Ravens terminated his contract, now seems to be living a quiet life in Orange, Texas.

Earl Thomas was a renowned NFL safety during his time with the Seattle Seahawks and Baltimore Ravens before his termination for “personal conduct that adversely affected the team.”

Thomas’s departure from the NFL was marked by a series of controversies and incidents that began during his tenure with the Seahawks.

In March 2019, Thomas signed a four-year, $55 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens. While he had a strong start, his relationship with the team deteriorated in 2020.

Thomas was involved in a physical altercation with teammate Chuck Clark during a practice, which led to his immediate dismissal from the team.

While not confirmed, reports claimed that his behavior, including skipping meetings and showing up late, caused tension within the locker room.

“I’m very happy with life, I’m very, very, very happy with life, and just get my little small wins that make me happy, just re-establishing all those relationships on a daily. As people go through things, happy or sad, every day. So I just try to add my little good spirit to it. Whatever goes on, I just try to communicate and then it works. And then I can see, you know, how coach Carroll starting his new career. I got to talk to Dan Quinn today, so you just get to see how the league is moving without you. It’s a much slower league now. Uh, the talent level is not, it’s not that it’s not that talented, to me, just watching, but it just gives me an edge. I wanna coach, so I just look at it like, okay, this is what you wanted to do. I gotta go back to school to coach. Maybe, I think so. I’m just saying maybe because I don’t wanna do it in front of the camera, but that would be, that would be my next goal, just to be a coach in the NFL.”

In addition to his coaching career and reflecting on his past, former NFL safety Earl Thomas has expressed a strong desire to be inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
