The NHL star is an all-rounder, a talented left winger for the New York Islanders, and a loving father to Zach Parise kids, Jaxson and Emelia.

Zach and Alisha Woods married in Minnesota on July 21, 2012, and later were blessed with three children.

The couple first met at the University of North Dakota while Parise was playing NCAA hockey while Alisha was a student at the same university.

Zach started his NHL journey after the 2003 NHL Draft by the New Jersey Devils but decided to join the Devils for the 2005–06 season with players.

In the 2008–09 season, Zach had his best NHL season and, with 45 goals, was the league’s third-leading goal scorer, just behind Jeff Carter (46) and NHL leader Alexander Ovechkin with 56 among all NHL players under 94 points.

Along with NHL, Parise has represented the United States and won a gold medal at the 2004 World Junior Championships. In addition was also named the tournament’s MVP, Best Forward.

Zach got the chance of captaincy for the 2014 Winter Olympics, and later in 2016, was selected for the Team USA at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.

As Parise juggled NHL in correspondence in 2020, he was done with his 1,000th career NHL game.

On September 10, 2021, he signed with the New York Islanders, and after some months, on March 21, 2022, he signed a year extension.

Wife & Kids

Vince met the love of his life at the North Dakota university when Alisha was a student and Vince was playing for the Fighting Hawks.

After their engagement announcement in August 2011, the college sweethearts finally tied the knot in July 2012.

Alisha, his wife, graduated from the University of North Dakota only with a bachelor’s degree in community nutrition.

Before pursuing her work in public health organizations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations, Alisha tried the advertising industry too.

She was a native of North Dakota and now lives in Edina with his husband, Prarise, in a more than decade-long marriage.

After two years, Zach couple got blessed with beautiful twins, Jaxson and Emelia, on January 8, 2014.

Recently on Jan. 2023, the twins celebrated their 11th birthday.

The couple got their third baby Theodore Parise in a time gap of four in 2018.

The three kids are young and spend most of their time with their parents; recently, Alisha uploaded her kids’ pictures while enjoying milkshakes.

Zach is an American professional ice hockey left winger born on July 28, 1984, to his parents, Jean-Paul Parise and Donna Parise, in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

His parents raised him with his brother Jordon, who works as an NHL goaltender coach after playing for American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League.

Jordon sustained a fatal injury in the 2007-2008 season and missed the entire season.

Even after his return, his career had an inevitable downfall, which led to his ultimate retirement on September 17, 2013.

According to The Athletic, Zach belongs to an athletic family, he and Jordon followed the path his father paved during his playing years.

Jean was an NHL legend who spent most of his career spanning the Minnesota North and the New York Islanders, to which, in total, he played 900 league games.

After his retirement in 1979, from 1980-1988, he served as a coaching assistant for eight years in the North Stars organization.

In addition, Jean also worked with the NHL as a scout and executive.

Unfortunately, 2014 was the most challenging time for the Parise family, as Jean was diagnosed with the fourth stage of lung cancer.

Two months later, on January 7, 2014, sadly, due to his deteriorating health, Jean passed away at 73.
