Jeffrey J. Carter was born on January 1, 1985, in London, Ontario. Sadly, there is not much intel on his parents except for his father’s name, Jim Carter.

Jeff Carter: Career

Jeff started his professional journey when the Philadelphia Flyers selected him as the 11th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. However, Carter did not make his debut for the franchise until the 2005-06 season.

In those two seasons, Jeff developed his craft at Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Philadelphia Phantoms. Eventually, the Ontario native made his first NHL appearance during the 2005-06 season.

On October 27, 2005, Carter scored his first NHL goal against Flordia Panthers. Thereafter, he played six seasons for the franchise, managing 508 appearances.

Initially, he struggled with a lacerated ankle tendon which went on to hinder his works in the other year as well. Back then, Carter only played 27 games for the whole season which resulted in him having only 22 points.

Anyways, the injury was back again in the 2019-20 season and he missed out final ten games of the regular season. During the tenure, he had to undergo surgery to repair a core muscle injury.
