PGA Tour player Hayden and his wife Emma recently lost their three-year-old daughter Sage, who was suffering from the birth-related disorder.
The couple welcomed Sage into the world in 2020, but she was diagnosed with Trisomy 18 just before reaching 26 weeks of gestation.
Despite Hayden and his wife Emma’s strong wish to support Sage’s life after her birth, medical professionals they trusted advised that doing so might only extend Sage’s suffering.
Doctors predicted she wouldn’t survive beyond a few hours, but she defied the odds and lived a miraculous three years.
However, Sage couldn’t overcome the disorder and passed away on November 13, 2023.

Emma shared a heartfelt message, stating that their beloved daughter Sage Elyse, Our princess miracle girl, Sage Elyse, was eternally healed on November 13, 2023, at 7:10 pm. She brought us immeasurable joy and blessings. Her wild and silly spirit is no longer limited by her earthly body. We know she is just starting the best days of her existence.”
She also requested that attendees wear pink in remembrance of Sage at her funeral.

Sage and Annie are the daughters of Hayden and Emma Springer. Tragically, with the recent passing of Sage, they now solely have Annie as their daughter.
Hayden and Emma, who were college sweethearts, tied the knot in 2019. In October 2020, they welcomed their first daughter, Sage.

At 20 weeks into Emma’s pregnancy, they received the difficult news that Sage had been diagnosed with Trisomy 18, also known as Edward’s Syndrome, a genetic condition with severe implications.
Despite the complications, the couple decided to provide the best possible care and support for their daughter Sage.
Sage miraculously celebrated her third birthday before passing away.
Following their challenging journey with Sage, the couple was blessed with another daughter.
Annie was born in October 2023 and recently celebrated her first birthday last month.
Hayden Springer’s Wife, Emma, Is A Registered Nurse
Emma Springer, Hayden’s wife, earned her degree from the Cizik School of Nursing at the University of Texas Health Houston in 2020 and is now a registered nurse.
She attended Texas Tech University, where she met Hayden during their freshman year. Both were active in the school’s golf program, where their shared love for the sport laid the groundwork for their relationship.
Emma herself also achieved success in golf and secured several victories.
Later, Hayden moved to TCU for golf-related reasons, winning the Big 12 championship as a senior by outperforming Viktor Hovland.

Despite this change, Emma and Hayden’s connection remained strong.
