A native of Cincinnati, Mick Cronin grew up alongside his brother, Dan Cronin, who now works as a professional handicapper.
Interestingly, Dan played college basketball like his brother Mick, but he did not pursue it professionally and instead opted for a career in horse racing.
Mick Cronin is the head coach of the men’s basketball team, the UCLA Bruins, at the University of California.
Commencing his journey in 1991, he initially served as an assistant coach at Woodward High School.
Mick held the same position at the University of Cincinnati from 1996-01 and the University of Louisville from 2001-03.
Likewise, his career reached new heights in 2003 when he joined as a head coach of the Murray State Racers.

Undoubtedly, their father was the one who instilled an early passion for horse racing within them.
However, although Mike never pursued horse racing professionally, his older brother, Dan, did.

Born on July 17, 1971, Mick Cronin is one of three kids of his parents, Peggy and Harold “Hep” Cronin. Besides him, they share a son, Dan, and a daughter, Kelly Cronin.
Unfortunately, his mother has passed away, leaving a void in his heart. She sadly died in 2005 after battling with cancer for the longest time.
