Raised in Upland, California, Flowe attended Upland High School, where he proved himself as an outstanding football player, winning several honors and awards. As a senior, Flowe was the USA Today High School Defensive Player of the Year.
After graduating from school in 2019, he chose Oregon Ducks over several top college football teams. Sadly, his first season with the Ducks was ruined because of injuries.

As per some reports, Jonathan is a year younger than his older brother, Justin Flowe. Justin was born on October 21, 2003, in Upland, California. So, Jonathan is currently in his early twenties.
Starting playing football early, the two boys played football for the Pomona Steelers in the Snoop Youth Football League before their teens. Like Justin, Jonathan attended Upland High School, where he primarily played defensive back.
At the end of his career, Jonathan was named the four-star recruit by ESPN and the three-star prospect by 247Sports and Rivals.
Although many teams, including LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, and USC, made scholarship offers to him, he committed to play for the Oregon Ducks to play alongside his older brother.
However, he only played two games in two years for them, after which he entered the transfer portal. While Justin has already started playing for the Wildcats after leaving Oregon, Jonathan has not joined any college team as of this writing.

Their dad, Justin Sr., was a football running back for the Garey High School in Pomona, California.
Inheriting their love for football and competitive spirit from him, Justin began playing games with bigger boys in the community before they were six.
Speaking of his son, Justin Sr. once said, “Justin has always been the biggest kid out there, so I’ve always seen him dominate. He’s just so motivated all the time. He’s always been like that. He wants to be great.”
Similarly, Justin’s mom, Sherra, encouraged him to get into the Snoop Youth Football League. He admits that his football career officially started after his parents entered him into the SYFL in 2008.
