William Donovan Levis, also known as Will Levis, is an NFL quarterback for the Tennessee Titans.

He attended Xavier High School in Middletown, CT, setting senior records with 27 passing touchdowns and 2,793 passing yards.

After high school, Will played college football at Penn State from 2018 to 2022 and later transferred to Kentucky.

He earned a finance degree from Penn State’s Smeal College of Business in May 2021. 

The following year, he obtained a master’s in finance from the UK’s Gatton School of Business and Economics in December.

Finally, The Titans selected Levis in the second round, 33rd overall, in the 2023 NFL Draft. 

On October 29, 2023, he had a standout NFL debut with 238 passing yards and four touchdowns, securing a 28–23 win against the Atlanta Falcons in week eight.

The Penn State quarterback proudly showcases a meaningful tattoo on his right arm with the verse, “Be strong and do not give up.”

The script reads, “Be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded,” a cherished mantra of his grandfather.

Will Levis And His Athletic Family

Will Levis comes from a family deeply rooted in athletics, with each member playing a significant role in shaping his life and contributing to his success.

His family’s influence has been instrumental in his growth as both an athlete and an individual.

While his father, Mike Levis, was a wide receiver at Denison University in Ohio, the mother, Beth Kelley, excelled as a two-time All-American soccer player at Yale.

Moreover, Will’s grandfather, David Kelley, was a Yale football coach and a three-sport athlete who assisted College Football Hall of Fame inductee Carmen Cozza.

In fact, seven of Cozza’s 10 Ivy League titles were achieved by Kelley on his defensive staff.

Upon his eighth-grade graduation, David gifted a Dalai Lama scroll reading “Never give up,” and on high school graduation, a stone with “Never, never, never give up” carved on it.

Levis expressed, “David is crucial to my growth as an athlete and person,” in a Centre Daily interview.

Furthermore, Will’s great-grandfather, Alva Kelley, secured the 1939 national championship for Cornell by defeating Ohio State.

Talking about his siblings, Levis is the oldest of four with two sisters, actively involved in sports.

In 2021, Will shared that one sister plays lacrosse at Wisconsin-Madison while the other is in eighth grade in a Kentucky Kernel interview.

Despite his athletic family, Will gained Division One attention later, becoming a standout athlete in his own right.
