Lilah Andrews, a Windber High School Varsity Basketball Player, passed away unexpectedly on January 4, 2026.

Her family member shared the tragic news on social media.

Lilah Andrews was a proud member of Windber High School’s Class of 2026.

She made her mark on the Girls Varsity Basketball team, playing the position of a small forward. She brought energy and determination to every game.

The 5′ 3″ tall athlete was easily spotted on the court in her jersey number 34. She played with a tenacity that proved heart and hustle are just as important as height.

Her skill and teamwork defined the school spirit of Windber High School athletics.

Community Grieves Loss of Windber Athlete Lilah Andrews

Lilah Andrews was a beloved daughter, treasured friend, and dedicated athlete who left the world far too soon. Her passing left a profound sorrow in her community.

She was the cherished daughter of Sonny and John Andrews.

Lilah’s passion for basketball was clear from a young age, and she played countless hours alongside Mariah.

Her dedication exemplified teamwork, perseverance, and spirit as a proud member of the Windber High School Varsity Basketball team.

Mariah has good grades. She’s good at sports. My parents see her as a good child, so I try to follow that example.

Lilah possessed a gentle spirit and carried a warmth that drew others in.

She had a smile that could brighten even the most ordinary day with a kind heart and a thoughtful nature. She had a quiet, grounding way of bringing comfort simply by being herself.
