WWE fans booed at an American retired wrestler, Hulk Hogan, when he appeared during the WWE RAW’s Netflix premiere.
Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Hogan received a hostile reaction from WWE fans who booed him as he debuted at Netflix’s Monday Night Raw on January 6, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.
Hogan entered the arena about two and a half hours into the show to the tune of his classic walk-out song Real American alongside his long-time manager, Jimmy Hart, but only a few WWE fans were happy to see him.

He ripped off his t-shirt to reveal a Netflix Is Raw shirt, hoping to make a statement as part of the historic debut.
However, his stunt didn’t earn the reaction he hoped for. Instead, people started booing him every time he talked.
Hogan finished his segment with his signature line, “Whatchya’ gonna’ do when WWE and Netflix run wild on you brother!“
Hogan continued by congratulating the WWE on its collaboration with Netflix and stated,
“I had incredible partners, like the Macho Man Randy Savage. I’ve had giant-sized partners like Andre the Giant. But the greatest partner the WWE has ever had, is the fact that tonight, we’re making history, and the WWE has tag teamed up with Netflix, the greatest tag team partner of all time.”
One of the WWE fans from the audience shared a video of Hogan’s entrance on Twitter and wrote,
“Watching Hulk Hogan get annihilated with boos while trying to sell his ripoff Bud Light beer was effing IN-CREDIBLE, And I grew up a Hulkamaniac.”
This video soon went viral all over the internet, and many expressed their views that Hulk Hogan deserves to get booed because of his inhuman behavior and racial remarks.
Hulk Hogan Faces Backlash From WWE Fans Over His Controversial Past!
WWE fans’ intense booing and hostile reaction toward Hulk Hogan largely arose from his controversial past.
His past actions, including ties to the MAGA movement, his vocal support for former President Donald Trump, and his past racial remarks, might have contributed to a hostile reaction among some fans.
Back in 2015, the WWE fired Hulk Hogan after a tape emerged of him using racist comments.
Hulk Hogan was in court over the publication of tapes recorded in 2007 where he ranted about his daughter sleeping with a black man and liberally using the “N” word to elaborate his point of view.
In a video made public by The National Enquirer, Hulk Hogan said, “I guess we’re all a little racist.“
However, Hogan later called the 2007 incident the biggest mistake of his life, and despite his apology, the WWE removed all references to him from its website.
Three years later, WWE reinstated Hogan, stating that he deserved a second chance after making numerous apologies and working with young people, where he helped them learn from his mistakes.
Hogan also posted about returning to WWE on his Instagram, stating, “praying for this day.”
Though WWE forgave Hogan for his racist behavior by giving him a second chance, it seems WWE fans haven’t regained their respect for him like before.
He also faced allegations of firing Real American Beer Ambassador Essence Jenai back in 2024 because of her race.
However, it is unsure if Hulk Hogan really fired her because of her race or if it is just false allegations.
