Zay’s Father Looked After Them After Mother’s Death

Zay’s birth mother, Jackie Walden, was a homemaker. She died early from a severe head injury after falling over a wooden fence.

When that unsudden event occurred, Zay was only five years old. This tragedy left him, his siblings, and his father, Willie, in the worst condition.

After the incident, Willie fulfilled his roles as a father and mother. Besides going to work, he dedicated his time to cooking food, washing clothes, and many more so that his children wouldn’t lack Jackie’s absence on a deeper level.

As time has moved forward, Willie and his children have learned to cope with the enduring sorrow of Jackie’s passing.

To this day, whenever Zay reflects on the memories of bygone days and recalls the sacrifices made by his father, Willie, it serves as a powerful source of motivation for him.

Following his momentous achievement in the NFL Draft, Zay expressed his deep gratitude by gifting his father a Mercedes SUV, recognizing him as the pillar of strength in his life.
