Alireza Beiranvand – Early Life
Alireza was born on 21 September 1992 in the small village of Sarab-e Yas in Khorramabad County, Lorestan Province. The 29-year-old grew up in a typical nomadic Kurdish family where age-old traditions and values were strictly followed.
As a result, a young Beiranvand could not play football as his family did not allow him. Therefore, to pursue his dreams of becoming a professional footballer, Alireza ran away from his family and moved to the capital city of Iran, Tehran.
However, his early years in Tehran were full of difficulties as the future Iranian international would go on days without eating due to a lack of money. Also, Alireza was homeless for some time as he could not find a job to pay his bills.
However, a young Beiranvand rose through those difficult circumstances and eventually made his professional debut for one of the most popular clubs of Iran, Naft Tehran.

Alireza Beiranvand – Career
Alireza’s professional career began with the capital-based club Naft Tehran when he signed his first professional contract with the club. Subsequently, the 27-year-old made his debut against Damash in the Hazfi Cup.
The then 18-year-old goalkeeper was so impressive in his first few matches for Naft that Tehran giants Persepolis wanted to sign the young shot-stopper after just a handful of professional appearances.
However, the club chairman, Mansour Ghanbarzadeh, blocked the move as Persepolis was a rival of Naft. After that, Beiranvand helped his side to a third-place finish in the Persian Gulf Pro League through his outstanding performances in between the sticks.
As a result, for the first time in Naft Tehran’s history, the club secured a spot in the AFC Champions League. Subsequently, Alireza signed a five-year contract extension with Naft in 2014.
Likewise, the same year, Beiranvand created history by assisting his teammate, Tractor Sazi, by throwing the ball from his own half. After that, the Iranian international stayed with the club for another two years before his eventual move to Naft’s rival, Persepolis.
However, Alireza’s move to Persepolis was not without controversy. For example, the Iranian goalkeeper was set to move to Persepolis in January 2016.
But due to various reasons, his move fell through at the last moment. Thus, Alireza had to stay with Naft Tehran for another six months before becoming a free agent.
Subsequently, the Iranian goalkeeper signed a two-year contract with Tehran giants Persepolis on a free transfer.
Thereafter, Beiranvand performed to his expected standards as he won the Golden Gloves for three years in a row from 2016 till 2019. As a result, his reputation grew even more, which resulted in many European clubs showing interest in the shot-stopper.
Furthermore, the 27-year-old goalkeeper helped his side reach the 2018 AFC Champions League final by keeping five clean sheets en route to the final. Unfortunately, Persepolis lost the final to Kashima Antlers of Japan in a 2-0 loss.
Nonetheless, Alireza’s reputation had peaked as he was a primary candidate for the 2018 Asian Footballer of the Year award.
However, the terrific shot-stopper was excluded from the final list of candidates, which prompted many journalists to say that the decision was outrageous and disrespectful.
But, as they say, “When one door closes, the next one opens.”
Likewise, the disappointment of missing out on the best player award was not even healed when the Belgian top-flight club, Antwerp, signed the Iranian international for an undisclosed fee on 29 January 2020.
Since then, Beiranvand has not been able to live up to the standards. This is just his first season in Europe; therefore, his performances should be considered as most players need time to adapt to new surroundings.
Nevertheless, we have full confidence that Alireza will quickly adapt to the European lifestyle and perform the way he used to in the Persian Gulf Pro League.

Alireza Beiranvand – Age, Height & Body Measurements
Beiranvand was born in the year 1992, which makes him 29 years old at the moment. Even though Alireza is one of the most vital players for his Persepolis and Iran, he is just 27 years of age, which means that the goalkeeper is just starting to hit his peak form.
Furthermore, the Iranian international stands at a towering 6 feet 4 inches, which is extremely tall for a footballer. However, goalkeepers need to be tall to protect the ball from going inside the 24 feet long goal post.
Additionally, Alireza is widely known for his throwing abilities. To illustrate, Beiranvand once threw a ball 60m from his goal post. Amazingly, the 27-year-old goalkeeper has also assisted his teammate, Tractor Sazi, by throwing the ball straight into the opposing half.
Alireza Beiranvand – Net Worth & Salary
As of 2020, Beiranvand has a net worth of $2 million accrued mainly through his footballing activities. Furthermore, the Iranian international is one of the most popular players to come out of Iran.

Beiranvand has a net worth of $2 million.
Also, the TransferMarkt website values the Iranian goalkeeper at $3.85 million, which is incredible considering Alireza had not played outside of the Gulf region until this season.
Nevertheless, I am pretty confident that the 27-year-old can adjust to life in Belgium and perform just as well as he used to during his time with Persepolis.
Alireza Beiranvand – Family & Wife
The 27-year-old goalkeeper is happily married to his wife, with whom he has two children. However, the information on his wife is not made known to the public.
The couple should have made the decision collectively based on their preference of keeping that part of their life private.
The couple has been with a son, Nazanin Beiranvand, and a daughter, Barana Beiranvand, who celebrated her third birthday on 25 January 2020.
In conclusion, even though not much is known about the mother of the two children, we are pretty sure that Alireza loves her very much.
For instance, back in October 2019, the Iranian government allowed female supporters to visit football stadiums for the first time.
Consequently, many female fans visited the match between Iran and Cambodia, in which Alireza’s wife was also present. Subsequently, after the game, the 27-year-old goalkeeper said,
“Now my greatest wish has come true. My wife was also in the stadium.”
Therefore, from the quote mentioned above, we can figure out just how much the Iranian international loves his wife along with his two children. Furthermore, I just hope that the Iranian government continues to take steps in the right direction.
