Former tennis player Anna Kournikova has a younger brother named Allan Kournikova, who is a professional golfer.

Anna Sergeyevna Kournikova was born on June 7, 1981, and is a former professional tennis player from Russia.

In September 1995, at 14, Anna made her debut on the WTA Tour after receiving a wildcard entry into the qualifications of the Moscow Ladies Open.

Nevertheless, she lost in the second round.

Kournikova also reached her first WTA Tour doubles final in that debut appearance. She was partnered with Aleksandra Olsza.

Although they performed well, they ultimately lost in the final match to the pair of Meredith McGrath and Larisa Savchenko-Neiland.

Despite never winning a singles title, she reached No. 8 in the world in 2000. She achieved more tremendous success playing doubles, where she was, at times, the world’s No. 1 player.

With Martina Hingis as her partner, she won Grand Slam titles in Australia in 1999 and 2002 and the WTA Championships in 1999 and 2000.
