The 34-year-old tennis player, Austin Krajicek, at one point thought of giving up on tennis. The losses were piling up, and the sport had become a financial burden.
But a call to play doubles in a minor league tournament in England changed the course of Austin’s career. He realized he wasn’t a singles player and has been playing doubles and mixed doubles.
In April 2022, he played his first tournament with his current partner, Ivan Dodig, and since then the two have set the tennis court on fire. They reached the 2022 French Open final but lost out to the duo of Marcelo Arevalo and Jean Julien Rojer.
But they returned to the same place a year later and took the French Open trophy home. They hope to repeat the same feat in Wimbledon and would love to maintain their No. 1 position.
