Jayme Ragan, a longtime Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, resident and youth coach, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the untimely age of 48, leaving his family, friends, and loved ones devastated.
Some social media posts state that Jayme Ragan’s family believes his sudden passing was likely caused by a heart attack, given his family history and recent symptoms.
Born on May 2, 1977, Jayme’s life was defined by love for his family, dedication to his community, and passion for coaching young athletes.
A graduate of South Allegheny Junior-Senior High School, Jayme went on to study at Robert Morris University after completing his Bachelor of Science in Professional Studies from Slippery Rock University.
He later built a successful career with Dollar Bank while balancing his professional responsibilities with his deep commitment to family and community service.
In Bethel Park, Jayme became known as more than just a coach; he was a mentor, role model, and friend to countless young athletes and their families.
He volunteered tirelessly, coaching basketball, football, and lacrosse. This summer, he coached the Bethel Park recreational basketball summer league, continuing his mission to encourage and inspire kids on and off the court.
He also contributed to the Bethel Park Youth Lacrosse Association as part of the 10U Orange team coaching staff.
Furthermore, the whole Bethel Park community is mourning the untimely death of their beloved coach, Jayme Ragan, and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Bethel Park Community Has Organized a Fundraiser and Meal Train to Honor Late Jayme Ragan and Support His Family
To honor Jayme Ragan and support his family during this difficult time, community members have organized ways to help.
The community has created a GoFundMe page to help Jayme’s family during this tough time, covering their financial expenses. The fundraiser aims to raise $20k, and to date, around $7,886 has been raised.
Similarly, a Meal Train has also been created to provide meals for the Ragan family.
Jayme Ragan is survived by his longtime wife, Shaneil Ragan, two sons, Carter and Evan, and the whole family.
Jayme’s wife, Shaneil Ragan, has been working with PNC in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, since 2017. She currently serves as the Vice President, Pricing Operations, Treasury Management at PNC.
Prior to that, Shaneil served as the Director of Lending and Operations Support at Riverset Credit Union for 2.5 years and as Loan Center Manager at Dollar Bank from 2001 to 2015.
Shaneil earned her degree in organizational leadership from Penn State University.

The Bethel Park community, united as Hawks, will forever carry Jayme’s memory as a beacon of love, hope, and strength.
