The former Stanford football captain faced a sexual assault allegation back in June of 2015. The news surely spread like wildfire and reached the university disciplinary board.

However, the complainant decided not to file a complaint with the police to avoid the trauma of a police investigation.

Nonetheless, under the US Department of Education’s Title IX, it is mentioned that the university is required to carry out investigations of sexual crimes on campus.

As a result, a panel of five-person was set to investigate the case and deal out discipline.
