In 2008, Brad Miller enrolled in the MLB Draft and was selected by Texas Ranger in the 39th round. However, he forwent the draft and chose to attend Clemson University on a full college baseball scholarship.

He played as a shortstop for the college baseball team Clemson Tigers. He quickly became the star of the college with impressive college stats.

Miller topped the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in a junior’s batting average and on-base percentage in 2011.

Likewise, he won the Brooks Wallace Award and was presented to the Best Collegiate Shortstop of the Year.

The Seattle Mariners drafted Brad Miller in the second round, 62nd overall, in the 2011 MLB Draft. But, he was signed by Clinton Lumberkings, a Minor League affiliate of the Seattle Mariners.

He later played for High Desert Mavericks in the California League in 2012. He was awarded the California League’s All-Star and Player of the Week.

Apart from this, he also won Mariners Heart and Soul Award for his exemplary performance and leadership qualities on and off the field.

In 2013, Miller was called to play for Seattle Mariners in the major league and made his debut  the same day against the Chicago Cubs.

After two successful seasons with the Mariners, he was traded to Tampa Bay Rays. But, he couldn’t perform well due to his frequent injuries. He was then traded to Milwaukee Brewers in 2018.

However, his injuries hampered his gameplay even more. He had to undergo several surgeries, limiting his gameplay and performance. Eventually, he was traded to Cleveland Indians in 2019.

He later played for Philadelphia Phillies and St. Louis Cardinals and is currently playing for Texas Rangers.
