Brandon Moreno Parents: Alfredo Moreno & Cecilia Carrillo Run Family Business
Born on December 7, 1993, in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, Brandon Carrillo Moreno is the son of Cecilia Carrillo and Alfredo Moreno.
His parents run a family business, Piñatas Moreno, which they operate in their hometown.
In an interview with ESPN in 2021, the UFC fighter said that his interest in MMA came as a hobby & his family business had some impact on him to pursue it.
According to Moreno, he ‘saw his parents were working hard to give the family the best opportunities.’ So, he wanted to help them but was lacking effort.
At the age of 12, Brandon decided to shed weight & aid in the family business, which introduced him to MMA.
Moreno’s mother enrolled him at the local Entram Gym, where he trained in mixed martial arts. He would work part-time at Piñatas Moreno & train MMA in his spare time.
Both his father & mother thought it was his hobby at first, but figured out that he was falling in love with it.
The balancing act between his MMA aspirations and family responsibilities defined his formative years.
Brandon’s parents were so supportive & kept faith in their son’s passion for MMA. They even allowed him to choose to pursue professional fighting rather than higher education.
Does He Have Any Siblings?
In his interviews, Moreno often mentions that he has brothers but has not talked much about them.
All his brothers were raised in Tijuana, Mexico, & helped their family in their piñatas business.
