The excellent outfielder of Clemson Tigers, McKenize was a star player for her high school team Sarasota Christian. Since joining Clemson, McKenzie and her talent have become the talk of the town.

Even in the recent heartbreaking loss of Clemson against Oklahoma, McKenzie’s talent was on full display. She helped her team to stay alive till the end, but the Tigers came up short against the Sooners.

It is to be seen whether one day we will see McKenzie star for Team USA on international stages like Cat Osterman and Jennie Finch

McKenzie Clark Parents: Brian And Carrie Clark

McKenzie Clark’s parents Brian, and Carrie Clark, adopted her from a family in Minneapolis.

Brian Clark is a varsity softball coach at Sarasota Christian School, and her mom Carrie Clark worked at FCCI Insurance Group.

Previously, Brian had won Coach of The Year in 2018, with Carrie sharing the picture on her Instagram handle.

Carrie is also a former athlete, having played volleyball for Jackson University in her heyday. The sporty family is regularly seen attending Clemson’s games, cheering for Carrie from the stands.

McKenzie Clark’s Adoption Story

In an interview with Extra Innings, Brian and Carrie talked about the entire process of adopting the young child and everything they went through at the time.

As a young couple, when Brian and Carrie couldn’t biologically birth kids, they looked up adoption as an option.

The couple had previously adopted their son, Hunter, who was born in Florida. But to adopt McKenzie, they traveled to Minnesota. And with different states having different rules for adoption, they went through several hurdles to bring McKenzie home.

During the interview, Brian said with McKenzie having American-Indian blood, they also had to take permission from the tribe.

This delayed the adoption process by two weeks. McKenize’s adoption was semi-open, which meant she could communicate with her biological mom, Jennifer Day.

McKenize Clark Brother Hunter Clark

McKenzie Clark’s brother, Hunter Clark, is also one of the adopted kids of Brian and Carrie.

Born on December 14, 1998, Hunter was an inspiration for McKenzie to start as an outfielder in softball.

In her interview with Extra Innings, McKenzie stated she and Hunter shared a tight bond since they were kids.

With Hunter being a fitness freak, McKenzie stated her older brother is very particular about her diet. He doesn’t let her consume unnecessary calorie-rich food questioning why she wants an extra whip cream on her frappuccino.

The big brother also traveled with McKenzie for her official visit to Clemson University in 2018. Hunter was a top-notch athlete in Sarasota Christian School and was involved in all three sports-football, basketball and baseball.

Carrie Clark is regularly seen posting photos of her two kids on Instagram. Hunter is available on Instagram with the username @hunterclark7 but hasn’t shared any posts.
