Carli Lloyd is a former American soccer player (1991 – 2021) with an impressive career. She is a four-time Olympic gold medalist, winning in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2021.

Additionally, she has achieved two FIFA Women’s World Cup victories in 2015 and 2019. Lloyd has also been honored as the FIFA Player of the Year twice, in 2015 and 2016.

Remarkably, the first American to score in four different Olympics made her debut in the W-League at the young age of 14, playing for Central Jersey Splash in 1999.

Throughout her career as a defensive midfielder, Carli scored an impressive 134 goals in 316 games for the US national team.

Does Carli Llyod Share Kids With Her Husband Brian Hollins?

As mentioned above, the sporting power couple Carli Llyod and her better half Brian Hollins are yet to start their own family.

When asked about their plans for having children in an interview with Goal, Llyod made the following statement:

“Well, Tom Brady doesn’t have to have kids, that’s the one thing for starters! My husband, Brian, and I will eventually start a family, so the clock’s ticking on that.”

Llyod and Hollins share a close bond with their three little nieces, who frequently appear on Carli’s social media.

From her Instagram pictures, it is quite obvious that the duo will be the best parents to their future children.

Who Is Her Husband Brian Hollins?

According to reports, Carli and Brian have been together since their high school days, and their love has only grown stronger over the years.

Brian Hollins, like Carli, was an athlete, specifically a golfer. He devoted much of his teenage years to practicing and enjoying golf, eventually turning professional.

Moreover, Hollins had performances on the Hooters and Tarheel tours and currently works as an assistant golf professional at New Jersey’s Trenton Country Club.

Carli and Brian, who were high school sweethearts, started dating in 2001.

After more than a decade of being together, they got engaged in 2013 and tied the knot on November 4, 2016, in Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Currently, the pair resides in Mount Laurel, New Jersey.

The Llyod Family

Carli Lloyd was born on July 16, 1982, to parents Stephen and Pamela Lloyd. Moreover, she grew up in Delran Township with her siblings, brother Stephen and sister Ashley.

Her sister, Ashley Lloyd, is a political activist who actively uses social media to advocate for her beliefs.

There was a time when Carli Lloyd experienced an unforgettable event in her life when she became estranged from her family for more than a decade.

The difference began in 2008 when her own father, Stephen Sr., asked her to leave their family home.

Furthermore, the situation escalated, and Carli was not invited to her sister’s wedding, causing a complete breakdown in communication between Carli and her parents.

In 2016, Carli published a memoir titled “When Nobody Was Watching: My Hard-Fought Journey to the Top of the Soccer World,” where she revealed the details of her estrangement, leading to a reconnection with her sister Ashley.

Moreover, her sister played a crucial role in helping Carli rebuild her relationship with her parents and brother.

Despite the challenges, it seems that the Lloyd family has found a way to reunite. They were seen celebrating Thanksgiving together in 2020.
