Jones’s parents frequently visited a neurologist, where it was explained that their son would not be able to participate in any contact sports.

Due to his condition, he was smaller than everybody, yet he was driven to be the best player on the floor.

Education

Jones completed his high school at Aiken High School, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was trained under the supervision of Corey Tucker.

Aiken High School reached the Ohio Final Four under Jones’ leadership as a senior in high school. For Aiken, it was a significant year and performance.

Jones was selected The Cincinnati Enquirer Division IV Player of the Year during his senior year, averaging 22.3 points and six assists.

Collegiate Career

On November 12, 2015, Jones signed up for the Radford Basketball team but delayed his first year. 

He was named the Big South Conference Freshman of the Year and honorable mention All-Big South after averaging 11.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game as a redshirt freshman for the Highlanders.

Jones could transfer to another school for his last season of athletic eligibility without having to sit out a year because he was scheduled to graduate from Radford at the end of the 2019–20 academic year. Rather than returning to Radford, he elected to become a graduate transfer.

He transferred to the University of Louisville for the remainder of his college career and eligibility, playing 19 games overall. 

On April 26, he then issued a different declaration, stating that he would sign with a representative and forego using the extra year of eligibility at Louisville.

Career In NBA

Jones signed up for the NBA Summer League with the Dallas Mavericks after being undrafted in the 2021 NBA draft.

The top-three selectors of the 2021 NBA draft pick were ‎Cade Cunningham, ‎Jalen Green, ‎and Scottie Barnes.

He signed the deal with the Mavericks on August 21, 2021. Nevertheless, he was released on October 15.

After that, he became an affiliate player with the Texas Legends on October 23.

Jones agreed to a contract with the Chicago Bulls on September 26, 2022.
Jones joined the Windy City Bulls training camp roster on October 23, 2022.

As of 2023, he is playing for the Chicago Bulls.
