Carlos Boozer: Basketball Career

Boozer started his career in basketball after joining Juneau-Douglas High School. While playing for his school basketball team, he was able to win the two major back-to-back state titles.

After his excellent performance, he was offered basketball offers by top-college like St. John’s and UCLA. But he was elected to play for coach Mike Krzyzewski at Duke University.

While playing for the team, he was able to win the 2001 NCAA championships.

Likewise, he was also elected for Duke University and helped the team win the 2001 NCAA championship. Moreover, he was also elected for the NBA draft, forgoing his final year of college eligibility.

Professional Career

Upon completing his career in University, Boozer joined the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2002 after being selected. 

After the 2003-2004 season with Cleveland, Cleveland could allow Carlos to become the restricted free agent or keep him under the contract for one -year.

But later on, Boozer signed a contract with the team for six years. Then, Utah Jazz offered the contract to Carlos, after which the basketball player signed with the team on July 30, 2004.

After signing with the Jazz, he played his first match with 17 points and 9 rebounds per game. However, he suffered from an injury that led him to miss other remaining games of the entire season.

Boozer played against the Houston Rockets at the beginning of 2007, setting the career-high score of 41 points. Moreover, he was also named Western Conference Player of the Month in November 2007.

After playing against the Seattle SuperSonics, he registered his first career triple-double on February 13, 2008.

Sadly due to knee surgery, he missed the 44 games of the 2008-2009 season. However, after returning from the injury, he played well in the other games of the season.

On July 8, 2010, Boozer signed the trade deal with the Chicago Bulls. He missed 23 games in 200-2011 seasons upon signing with the Bulls. Despite having the injury, he managed to play the games where he got the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

Due to an amnesty clause, Carlos was released by the Bulls on July 15, 2014. After release by the bulls, the basketball player joined the Los Angeles Lakers.

After Los Angeles Laker, he joined the Guangdong Southern Tigers on July 30, 2006. He announced his retirement on December 18, 2017.
