On October 23, authorities arrested wide receiver Chris Olave on suspicion of reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
The arrest occurred in the town of Kenner, Louisiana, which is a mixed business and residential area in suburban New Orleans.
Media reports stated that officers were monitoring with radar due to citizen complaints about speeding. Allegedly, he was driving 70 mph in a 35 mph zone near his house.
According to the police, Olave had been arrested before; it was not his first arrest.
Olave was taken to Kenner jail but was released around 11:30 p.m. on the same day.
