Deandre Ayton sister, Tiann and Serenity Ayton, were raised two-bedroom home in the Bahamas. Andrew Ayton is his older brother.
The 2018 NBA draft’s first overall pick, Deandre Ayton, was born and raised in Nassau and later moved to the United States at age 12.
The center of Phoenix Suns had caught the attention of many schools in and around California and Texas from a young age. Those who watched him closely knew he was destined for success.
In the initial years of his NBA career, Ayton matched his hype with his plays, but that has since fizzled out. He looks half the player he was in the 2020 campaign and has never reached the same success.
In Game 1 of the conference semi-finals against the Denver Nuggets, Deandre scored only 14 points. A performance that didn’t sit well with the fans, Ayton’s efforts were compared to his rival Nikola Jokic.
Deandre Ayton Sisters, Tiann And Serenity Ayton
Deandre Ayton grew up with two sisters, Tiann and Serenity Ayton.
Unlike their brother, Tiann and Serenity Ayton stayed in the Bahamas for the most part. One of his sisters, Tiann Ayton, was a student at the Bahamas Academy.
Tiann is available on Facebook and, in 2017, traveled to the States with her family. One of the pictures on her handles shows her outside the San Francisco Giants stadium with her mother.
Serenity Ayton is the youngest member of the Ayton family. The little sister of Deandre Ayton was pictured in 2019 rocking Deandre’s signature cleats from Puma.
Deandre Ayton Brothers: Andrew And Edward Jr
Andrew and Edward Jr are the older brothers of Deandre Ayton.
Growing up, Deandre would spend most of his time playing video games with his brother. In an interview with ESPN, Deandre said Andrew would easily clear all the hardest levels.
But soon, Deandre traded his interest in video games for basketball. And since then, he has never looked back.
His two brothers remain away from social media handles and aren’t available on Instagram or Facebook.
Deandre Shares A Strong Bond With His Mother, Andrea Ayton
The Phoenix Suns center, Deandre, shares a close bond with his mom, Andrea Ayton.
After being divorced from her husband and the father of her children, Edward Ayton, Andrea moved in with Alton Ayton.
Alton treated all five of Andrea’s kids like his. In the 2018 NBA draft, the husband-wife duo were seated next to each other as they saw their son become the no.1 draft pick.
Nicknamed “Tiger” by his mother, Deandre had to leave his family and move to the States at a young age. During his initial years in States, Deandre was homesick and would call his mother, saying he wanted to return.
But Andrea gave him the motivation to keep it going. Soon, Andrea relocated to the States to be close to her son.
In recent years, the mother-son duo has worked closely with organizations such as Helping Hands for Single Moms. Andrea was even awarded the Hero Award in 2021 by the organization.
