Rob Van Dam does not have a brother, and he even lost his father a few years ago. Currently, he is happily married to the love of his life, whom he calls family.

A jack of all, Robert Alexander Szatkowski is a professional wrestler and actor from the United States currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He is famously known by his ring name Rob Van Dam(RVD).

RVD is best remembered for his involvement with Impact Wrestling, World Wrestling Entertainment, and Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW).

Van Dam became one of the most well-known wrestlers in the business throughout the second half of the 1990s while competing for ECW.

RVD was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, where he attended Pennfield Senior High School.

He made his WWF television debut in 1987 in a skit with “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase.

Previously, DiBiase was picking individuals from the audience and paying them to perform disgusting actions at the time.

He asked if the then-16-year-old RVD would enter the ring and kiss his foot for $100, which he did.

We would quickly like to shut this down and say that he doesn’t have any brothers. 

Furthermore, the wrestler shares a mix of Belgian and Polish ancestry however, there are not a lot of details regarding his parents or family that have been made public.

Van Dam sadly lost a parent on February 15, 2016. He notified the news of the loss of his father to the public via a Twitter post

The death became public after Rob Van Dam tweeted, “Those of you who got the chance to meet my dad, enjoy your memories. That’s all we’ve got right now.”

Van Dam is currently married to a fellow professional wrestler Patricia Parker. She is more popularly known by her ring names, Katie Forbes and Khloe Hurtz.

Katie was born on December 31, 1990, in Tampa, Florida, and currently resides in San Pedro, California.

The couple first met each other at WrestleCon in Dallas in 2016. She was there at the Wildcats booth while RVD was just a few booths away from her.

RVD said that he was already on Forbes’ radar, but he didn’t know about it. Soon after WrestleMania that year, the pair finally went on their first date.

They talked about the weekend’s “rock bottom” event and the subsequent blackout. In February 2021, they decided to take their relationship to the next level and got engaged. 

They didn’t miss a beat, and in the November of the same year, the couple tied the knot in Las Vegas. 

Rob Van Dam Arrested For Possession Of Marijuana 

On July 3, 2006, Van Dam and Terry Brunk (known as Sabu) had been detained the night before on US Route 52 in Hanging Rock, Ohio.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol officer stopped RVD for speeding and discovered that he was in possession of 18 grams of marijuana and five Vicodin pills.

Van Dam and Brunk were both released after paying bail and were due to appear in Ironton Municipal Court on July 6.

Furthermore, the wrestler pleaded guilty to speeding and marijuana possession on August 31. However, the allegation of Vicodin possession was dropped after he showed a prescription.

Hence he received a $140 fine and court costs, but he seems unfazed as he is a staunch supporter of cannabis and its products.

The wrestler has spoken about the issue in many media outlets, including MSNBC, where he battled former U.S. “drug czar” Barry McCaffrey.

Van Dam is a cannabis user who believes it to be a booster for athletic performance. Also, his personal marijuana addiction has been reflected in his wrestling persona.

He reflects this in the use of the term “RVD 420 means I just smoked your ass.”
