Robert Williams, the NBA center, does not have a brother; however, he does have a sister named Brittanni Smith.

Robert Williams, famously known as “Time Lord,” is an American basketball player. He currently plays as a center for the Boston Celtics of the NBA.

Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, Robert is best known for his magnificent shot-blocking talent and ability to find the ball. He is an excellent rim-runner on the court.

The star has quite an impressive physique, standing at 2.06 m (6 feet 9 inches) and weighing around 108 kg (237 lbs).

He attended North Caddo High School in Vivian, Louisiana.

During high school, he earned a desired four-star rating and secured a spot at the 50th position on ESPN’s distinguished Top 100 for the class of 2016.

Following that, he attended Texas A&M University to play college basketball. He exhibited incredible skills in his debut college game by scoring five points, five blocks, and seven rebounds.

After his exceptional performance as a freshman in 2016-2017, the SEC named Robert Williams Defensive Player of the Year and awarded him second Team All-SEC honors.

The rising star has a very supportive sister named Brittanni Smith.

Brittanni Smith was born to her parents, Robert Fitzgerald Williams and Tundra Williams, in Louisiana, America.

She is the older sister of Robert Williams. She has incredible academic records, having majored in recreation, tourism science, and park.

The two siblings share an unbreakable and truly special bond. Even during the night of the NBA Draft, Brittanni got really emotional and teared up during an interview, talking about his little brother and reminiscing about their childhood.

While Robert’s NBA Draft position at 27th gained a lot of criticism from people, his sister Brittanni had nothing but unwavering support and encouragement for his little brother.

Despite an undoubtedly strong bond and love between the two siblings, their relationship is not without its playful moments.

Brittanni once tweeted a picture of Robert and called him “Boo-Butt” instead of his earned nickname “Time Lord.”

This just goes on to prove how the two siblings are close to each other and their love and support for each other.

Career

Robert Williams started his professional career on July 5, 2018.

He initially made a wrong impression, being criticized for showing up late and missing team functions.

This made him fall to the 27th overall pick in the NBA Draft instead of the expected top 14. The Boston Celtics signed him in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Robert made his NBA debut on October 23, 2018. He played a total of 4 minutes on the court against a loss to Orlando Magic.

Later, the team assigned him to Maine Red Claws on November 2. From November to December, Robert spent his time between the NBA G League and the Celtics.

He started to gain more time with the Celtics following an injury to Al Horford.

During the 2021 NBA playoffs, Robert showcased his incredible skills on the court. He set a new team playoff record with an impressive nine blocked shots. He also scored 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

Despite his impressive effort, the team lost the game. Robert also suffered an injury that affected his remaining games. 

He recorded his first career triple-double on December 31, 2021, after putting up 10 points, 11 rebounds, and ten assists in a 123-108 win over the Suns.
