Early Life & Family
Domantas Sabonis was born in Portland, Oregon, on May 3, 1996. He is the youngest son of the famous European basketball player Arvydas Sabonis and Ingrida Mikelionyte.
Moreover, his mother, Ingrida, was a fashion model, an actress, and the first Miss Lithuania.
Even though his family originally came from Kaunas, Lithuania, he spent his early childhood in Portland. He enrolled in Sunny View School, where he studied until 2003.

Domantas Sabonis returned to the USA in 2014. He attended Gonzaga University that same year, turning down Malaga’s three-year contract worth around $0.6 million. On November 14, he made a debut in the NCAA for the Gonzaga Bulldogs.
The already experienced player played extremely well and had amazing stats. He averaged 9.7 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in his first NCAA season.
