Easton, PA Firefighter and Former Citadel Defenseman Tyler Weidner, Aged 33, Passes Away, Leaving Behind His Parents Kevin and Nellisa and Family

Tyler Weidner, a brave firefighter and former lacrosse star, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2025, at an untimely age of 33, leaving his family, friends, and loved ones devastated.

While his family and loved ones have not yet disclosed the cause of his untimely death, some social media posts suggest that Tyler Weidner passed away in a tragic car accident.

Tyler Weidner, a native of Easton, Pennsylvania, touched the lives of many with his exceptional athletic skills and his service to the community as a brave firefighter.

Furthermore, Tyler Weidner served as a member of the Easton Professional Firefighters until his recent death.

Prior to beginning his career as a firefighter, Tyler Weidner attended The Citadel, the military college of SC, from which he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

While at Citadel, Tyler Weidner played as a defenseman on the men’s lacrosse team, leading his team in several victories.

Before joining Citadel, Tyler Weidner showcased his impressive athletic skills while playing varsity football at Easton Area High School, from which he graduated in 2010.

Furthermore, the untimely death of Tyler Weidner has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Many of his loved ones are paying tribute to the late firefighter and athlete, Tyler, and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Tyler Weidner is Survived By His Parents, Partner, Son, and The Whole Family

Tyler Weidner was born on October 8, 1991, as the eldest son of Kevin and Nellisa Weidner.

While his mother, Nellisa Weidner, hasn’t shared anything as she is currently grieving the loss of her son, Tyler’s father, Kevin Weidner, took to his social media to express his sorrow and pay tribute to Tyler.

“I Love you Tyler ! You have brought so much Joy in my life for the 33 years that the Lord had give me with you.Words will never express the loss me and my family are feeling now. You are so missed already.”

Furthermore, late Tyler Weidner followed in the footsteps of his father, Kevin Weidner, who has been serving as a firefighter at the City of Easton, PA, since 1997.

Kevin Weidner is also the owner and operator of Kevin Weidner’s Pool Service LLC. He founded the company in 1998. Previously, he worked as a swimming pool technician at A & L Pool Service.

In addition to being a great son to his parents, Tyler Weidner was also an amazing partner to Kerry. The couple welcomed their son, Sawyer Lee Weidner, in 2024.

Similarly, Tyler Weidner is survived by his five siblings, Preston, Gabriella, Adeline, Steele, and Berkely.

Like Tyler Weidner, his siblings are also athletes; his brother Preston Weidner played track & field at Moravian University and Notre Dame.

Tyler’s sister, Adeline Weidner, plays as an attack and defense player on the women’s lacrosse team at Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Similarly, Steele Weidner plays varsity football at Notre Dame Green Pond High School, and Berkley Weidner plays varsity lacrosse at Moravian Academy High School.
