Embiid led the 76ers to 2-1 series lead over the Hawks

The Philadelphia 76ers entered the home court with a mission to not disappoint their fans and get a win over the Atlanta Hawks.

While the Hawks aimed to brush off the pressure of the away game and get the win.

After losing Game 1 the 76ers made a comeback in the Semifinal series with a win in Game 2.

The 76ers finally took the lead with a win in Game 3, defeating the Hawks 127-111 on Friday night.

This year MVP candidate Joel Embiid showed another amazing performance in the Game and led the 76ers to win.

He received plenty of help from other 76ers starters Tobias Harris, Ben Simmons, and Seth Curry along with Furkan Korkmanz coming off the bench.

On the other hand, Trae Young led the Hawks while John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic ad Danilo Gallinari scored in double-figures.

The 76ers started strong taking the lead in the first quarter and were dominant over the Hawks after the first half.

They lived up to their No.1 seed, dominating the Hawks and ultimately taking the win at the end to take the 2-1 lead in the series.

Bogdan Bogdanovic started the quarter with a layup for the Hawks, leading to a 4-0 run.

Then Joel Embiid dropped a dunk and the 76ers tied the game 4-4 with 9:27 remaining in the quarter.

Seth Curry knocked a mid-range jumper for the 76ers’ lead.

However, Bogdanovic came up with a corner three-pointer on Trae Young’s pass taking a point lead for the Hawks.

Joel Embiid then passed the ball to Ben Simmons over Clint Capela for a one-handed dunk, taking the lead right back.

They were  21-16 with 2:11 remaining in the first quarter as  Furkan Korkmanz dropped a three-pointer to extend the 76ers’ lead to nine points.

Lou Williams dropped a jumper to cut the lead to four points. Tobias Harris answered back with a jumper.

Dwight Howard tipped off Shake Milton‘s missed three-pointer, giving 28-20 lead over the Hawks to end the quarter.

The Hawks make a comeback in the second quarter.

Dwight Howard started the second quarter with a dunk, giving 10 point lead just a few seconds into the quarter.

The Hawks cut the lead, making a 4-0 run subsequently.

They were 32-26 with 9:44 remaining in the quarter as Tobias Harris grabbed an offensive rebound and found Howard for the dunk.

Shake Milton knocked down a three-pointer, giving 11 points lead to the 76ers.

Trae Young dropped a floater over Harris and came up with a pass to John Collins for a dunk.

They were 43-36 as Curry knocked down a three-pointer halfway into the second quarter.

Bogdanovic then came up with a three-pointer on the next possession.

Harris dropped a jumper right back.

The Hawks still trailed the 76ers by 7 points with under four minutes left in the quarter.

Embiid knocked down a three-pointer taking 10 point lead over the Hawks.

Young’s lob to Collins gave the Hawks two points on the other end.

Simmons subsequently came with a right-handed layup for the 76ers.

Trae Young dropped a floater at the buzzer as the Hawks make a comeback, cutting the 10 points lead to five points at the end of the second quarter.

The 76ers dominated the Hawks in the third quarter.

Collins then drove to the rim, dropping a layup on the other end.

Simmons dropped a layup on Embiids and also came up with a pass to Seth for a three-pointer on the next possession.

Curry dropped a hook shot and the 76ers took 14 point lead with 7:43 remaining in the game.

Simmons drove straight to the basket, dropping a strong dunk, and also came up with a pass to Embiid for a dunk.

With that, the 76ers made a 15-2 run with under six minutes left to play in the quarter.

Kevin Huerter knocked down a three-pointer and Gallinari came up with a jumper

They were 85-67 as Capela dropped a hook shot over Embiid.

Matisse Thybulle knocked down a three-pointer and Young came up with a floater on the other end.

The 76ers outscored the Hawks by 15 points in the third quarter.

As a result, the 76ers took the lead 95-75 with 20 points advantage entering the fourth quarter.

Ultimately the 76ers win Game 3.

The Hawks started the fourth quarter quickly with a bucket a few seconds into the quarter.

Harris drove straight to the rim, dropping a floater and Collins knocked down a two-handed dunk.

Howard shoots a three-pointer but couldn’t make it then George Hill knocked down a three-pointer beating the shot-clock.

Harris came up with a layup and Gallinari dropped a fadeaway jumper on the other end.

They were 106-89 with 7:10 remaining in the quarter as Harris knocked down a three-pointer.

Young knocked down a long three-pointer and Capela blocked Embiid at the rim.

Korkmaz dropped a three-pointer, extending the lead to 16 points with under four minutes left to play.

Embiid came up with a block on Gallinari as Harris passed the ball to Embiid for a bucket on the other end.

They were 122-106 nearing the end of the fourth quarter.

The 76ers then took the 127-111 win over the Hawks.

The MVP candidate of this season Joel Embiid showed an amazing performance throughout the Playoffs.

He continued that rhythm in Game 3 against the Hawks on Friday night as well, scoring 27 points.

In addition, played the match despite a cartilage tear in his right knee and added nine rebounds, eight assists, and three blocked shots.

He received plenty of help from other starters Ben Simmons, Tobias Harris, Seth Curry, and Furkan Korkmaz from the bench.

 Tobias Harris had 22 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 assists while Ben Simmons made 18 points, with 4 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Seth Curry contributed 12 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Meanwhile, Furkan Korkmaz dropped 14 points, and an assist all coming off the bench.

Dwight Howard dropped 12 points along with 6 rebounds.

On the other hand, Trae Young led the Hawks, scoring 28 points and 8 assists.

Followed by John Collins, who dropped 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

Bogdan Bogdanovic contributed 19 points, 4 rebounds, and an assist.

Clint Capela scored only eight points but grabbed 16 points along with 2 assists.

Meanwhile, Danilo Gallinari led the bench, scoring 17 points, and 3 assists.

With the win, the 76ers end the Atlanta Hawks’ streak of 13 home wins while the 76ers grab their second straight win of the Semifinals.

They will now face each other in Game 4 on Monday night in Atlanta.
