Frank Madden’s wife, Jennifer Madden, was warned and fined $1,000 by the U.S. Equestrian Federation for unsportsmanlike conduct after yelling across the in‑gate about altering a horse’s noseband before the final round.

Frank is a highly regarded American hunter/jumper trainer, known for developing top equitation and jumper riders.

He is the head trainer and owner of Capital Hill Show Stables in Wellington, Florida.

Most recently, Madden was suspended indefinitely by the U.S. Center for SafeSport on December 23, 2025, just days before his earlier two‑month U.S. Equestrian Federation suspension was set to expire.

The SafeSport suspension, which USEF reciprocated, cites “allegations of misconduct” and has no listed end date.

This indefinite suspension follows an earlier two‑month USEF penalty issued on November 3 for unsportsmanlike conduct during the 2025 Gladstone Cup.

Madden was fined $2,000, barred from participating in next year’s Gladstone Cup, and restricted from USEF‑endorsed activities.

His wife, Jennifer Madden, was separately warned and fined $1,000 for yelling across the in‑gate area about altering a horse’s noseband before the final round, though she was not suspended by SafeSport.

Frank Madden’s Wife, Jennifer, Is A Professional Equestrian Working Alongside her Husband!

Jennifer Madden, wife of Frank Madden, is also a professional within the hunter/jumper equestrian community, working alongside her husband at Capital Hill Show Stables in Wellington, Florida.

She plays an active role in the training and management of riders, contributing to the stable’s reputation for developing junior equitation and amateur jumper talent.

Her professional background is rooted in supporting riders at major competitions, ensuring horses are prepared, and riders are guided through the demands of high‑level events.

In the recent case tied to the 2025 Gladstone Cup, Jennifer was cited by the U.S. Equestrian Federation for unsportsmanlike conduct after yelling across the in‑gate area immediately before a rider entered the arena.

Her shouting was specifically about altering the noseband of the horse being ridden.

As a result, she received a formal warning and a $1,000 fine, though unlike Frank Madden, she was not suspended by SafeSport and remains eligible to participate in USEF‑endorsed activities.
