Six former IU Indianapolis men’s basketball players have filed a lawsuit against the university over relentless psychological and physical abuse or harassment under former head coach Paul Corsaro.
The university stated that Paul’s behavior did not meet the university’s values and standards regarding the treatment of student-athletes and fired him after a season in May 2025.
The lawsuit claims the alleged abuse caused severe and lasting harm to the student-athletes. The university and Paul have presented conflicting accounts of the investigation that led to his dismissal.
The university’s decision today is deeply disheartening. I vehemently deny the alleged mistreatment of student athletes and will vigorously defend the reputation I have worked tirelessly to build.
